Alteams is a Finnish-origin, internationally operating supplier of high-quality aluminum casting solutions with more than 80 years of industry expertise. The company operates in five factories around the world and employs over 1,700 people. Alteams is part of the Kuusakoski Group together with Kuusakoski Recycling, Northern Europe’s leading industrial recycling company.

The beginning of the website project and close collaboration
Alteams needed a website that would be easy to maintain, modern, mobile-friendly, and capable of functioning smoothly on a global scale. The website needed to clearly communicate at first glance who they are and what they offer.

Creamarketing designed the website to align with Alteams’ brand identity, creating a clear structure that makes information easy to find. The site is managed through a customized WebAdmin system, allowing the client to easily add pages, information, and images while maintaining a consistent visual style.
The collaboration remained close throughout the entire project, from design to technical implementation. During the project, Alteams also utilized third-party services such as the photography company FYR – Creative Collective, which produced high-quality images and videos to enrich the website’s content. Creamarketing has previously collaborated with FYR’s photographer Kasper Dalkarl, whose work has been excellent and highly valuable for clients’ businesses.

Modern frontend technology – a “headless” website
Alteams’ website is built using modern headless frontend technology, where the frontend (user interface) and backend (management system) operate separately—hence the name “headless.” The backend manages data and functionality, while the frontend retrieves information through API interfaces, enabling the same content to be used across multiple channels worldwide.
Headless technology is an ideal solution for Alteams, as the company requires a website that works smoothly around the globe. This architecture makes the site flexible, easy to update, and globally scalable. The website is hosted on the Cloudflare Pages platform, ensuring fast loading times, high availability, and strong security worldwide.

Chi Nguyen comments on the use of a headless website: “I would say the freedom to edit and manage things behind the scenes in the back end without affecting what our visitors see on the front end is a huge advantage! When I hear “headless”, I can’t help but think of a “headless chicken” but with a headless website, well, I do think we actually know what we’re doing.”

After evaluating several similar proposals, we decided this was a good opportunity to explore a more modern solution and take a step forward in our digital development”, Chi comments.
